Boychik’s Deli turned out to be the perfect place to meet a group of friends for a mid-morning, weekday breakfast. A friend of ours suggested it. What a great idea!
It was simple to get to the deli and easy enough to find a good parking spot. It was surprisingly busy for 9 a.m. on a Monday!

Boychik’s Deli did not disappoint. They easily accommodated our group of eight with a row of tables pushed together down the center aisle.
A competent, friendly server did a great job making sure everyone was taken care of while the group waited for the last two of us (my husband and I) to arrive.
When we got settled in, the menu told me this was a true New York deli.

And it certainly looks like one! Lots of activity, a busy vibe, and great, friendly people. Lots of choices in delicatessen food delivered straight from New York.
The Boychik’s Deli website says it’s family owned and operated. You could definitely tell; all the employees seemed to care about doing a good job.
We had left the house in a rush that morning because we needed to get some work done before our breakfast. Completely uncharacteristically, we left without coffee, so as soon as we arrived at Boychik’s, that was our first order of business. The waitstaff took care of us on that front, and the coffee was quite good! Strong and smooth, the way we like it and the way deli coffee should be, in our opinion.
Everyone ordered and without too much of a wait, the food came. A couple of our friends ordered a delicious looking omelet that I didn’t get a picture of. My husband and I chose small breakfast items since we needed to go back to work and didn’t want to feel sleepy.
But as it turned out, our carb-o-licious choices were pretty hearty by themselves! I asked the server what everyone loves and she immediately suggested the French toast. My husband went for the biscuit with sausage gravy.

Both were good, and our bill was really good. You pay up at the front counter.

The next time someone wants a recommendation for a yummy, casual breakfast out, Boychik’s Deli will be our suggestion. I can only imagine how busy it probably is on weekends.
